This is a series of stories I wrote last summer as a sort of memorial to the man who taught me so much, but with whom I had a rocky relationship at best. The four stories describe the four most memorable experiences I shared with my father, three of which being the last three times I saw him alive. I wish I’d had more time to spend with him. He died over a decade ago of cancer. He was 49 years old.
I’ll be putting excerpts of the stories up in sequence over the course of however long it takes. There will be four parts.
Part One: The Invincible Snake
Part Two: The Last Piece of Bacon
